Election Judges

We are seeking eligible voters to work as Election Judges at the 2020 Primary and General Elections on August 11 and November 3. Election Judges are paid $12 per hour for attending a mandatory two-hour online training session and for time worked on Election Day. Election judges may also serve by volunteering their time.

Qualifications

To qualify to work as an election judge, you must:

  • Attend a two-hour training session
  • Be 18 years of age
  • Be able to work from 5:45 am until all work is completed after the polls close at 8 pm (16 plus hours)
  • Be a Minnesota resident
  • Be a U.S. Citizen
  • Not have your voting rights revoked
  • Read, write and speak English

You Cannot Be

  • The candidate or the spouse, parent, child, or sibling of any candidate on the ballot in that precinct
  • The spouse, parent, child, or sibling of any election judge serving in the same precinct
