Filing is open for residents seeking election to the Cottage Grove City Council. Voters will elect 2 Council members for four-year terms and 1 Council member for a two-year term.
Candidates may file in the Administration Department at City Hall during regular business hours 8 AM to 4:30 PM. The filing fee is $5.
Residents wishing to run for City Council must be 21 years of age or older upon assuming office, and a resident of Cottage Grove at least 30 days prior to the November 8, 2022 general election. Candidates must not have filed for the same or any other office in the upcoming primary or general elections.
City Council is non-partisan. Names of the candidates will appear on the November general election ballot.
