Cottage Grove City Council Vacancy

With the resignation of Councilmember Steve Dennis, the City Council declared a vacant seat on the City Council effective October 4, 2023.  State law stipulates that the mayor and other three Councilmembers will fill this vacancy by appointment until a special election occurs.  The appointee would serve until the results of the November 5, 2024, special election are canvassed.  

The Mayor and Council are requesting applications from any Cottage Grove residents who would be interested in filling this vacancy.  Completion of an application along with a letter of interest and resume can be emailed to tanderson@cottagegrovemn.gov or sent to: 

 All applicants will be given 3 minutes to interview before the Mayor and City Council starting at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, November 15, 2023.
