Letter of Intent to Purchase Real Estate – Harkness Avenue Hotel Site

Council authorized the City Administrator to execute the Letter of Intent (LOI) with Stahl Construction for the purchase of the EDA-owned parcel of land known as the Harkness Avenue Hotel site.

Verizon Lease Agreements – West Draw Water Tower

Council approved the temporary land lease agreement and site lease agreement with Verizon at the West Draw Water Tower contingent upon Verizon obtaining a Conditional Use Permit.

Agreement for Professional Services – Electrical Inspection Services

Council approved the Agreement for Professional Services with McMullen Inspecting, Inc. for electrical inspector services.

Agreement for Professional Services – Janitorial Services

Council approved the Agreement for Professional Services with ABM Industry Groups, LLC for janitorial services for the City of Cottage Grove.

Great River Rail Commission – Second Train Funding Resolution of Support

Council adopted Resolution 2019-029 requesting Governor Walz include the $4 million request form the MnDOT Passenger Rail Office in his capital funding request to the Minnesota Legislature.

Stoneybrook Villas 1st Addition Street & Utility Improvements – Authorization of Feasibility Report

Council adopted Resolution 2019—028 authorizing the preparation of a feasibility report for the Stoneybrook Villas 1st Addition Street & Utility Improvements.

Authorize Letter of Intent to Purchase Real Estate – 7516 80th Street

Council authorized the City Administrator to execute the Letter of Intent to Purchase Real Estate with DK Design and Development Group, Inc. for the purchase of the EDA-owned parcel of land at 7516 80th Street South, the former City Hall site.

Public Hearings

Kingston Fields 2nd Addition – Vacation & Discontinuance of Easements and Final Plat

1)      Council held the public hearing to vacate and discontinue public drainage & utility easements for Kingston Fields 2nd Addition

2)      Council adopted Resolution 2019-030 approving the vacation and discontinuance of public drainage & utility easement for Kingston Fields 2nd Addition

3)      Council adopted Resolution 2019-031 approving the Kingston Fields 2nd Addition final plat consisting of 34 single-family lots and two outlots for landscaped cul-de-sac islands.

4)      Council approved the Kingston Fields 2nd Addition development agreement with DR Horton Inc. – Minnesota (Developer).

5)      Council adopted resolution 2019-032 approving the Development Plans & Specifications dated February 13, 2019, prepared by Westwood Professional Services, Inc. for Kingston Fields 2nd Addition.
